Some of the ttf font sites have the unzipped font url's in a text box, ready for you to cut-copy the url to use. But I will explain how to use the ttf's that are not in the text box. However, you will use the url the same way at ImageMagick when you want to annotate.

  • 1. Once you have found the ttf that you want to use, click on the example or name (some sites say click here for this font) A pop-up will appear on your screen stating "This is the type of information WebTV can not use" just click the continue on the pop-up and

  • 2. Click your _go-to_ or _options_ button, choose _go-to_ _show last_ and the ttf url will appear in the slot. Now A+cmd, C+cmd to highlight the url to use at ImageMagick. **HINT: I usually paste this url into my _find key_ for 'safe keeping' but this is not necessary**

  • 3. Once you have cut/copied the ttf url you want to use on your graphic, go to ImageMagick and

  • 4. Enter the url of the _graphic_ you want to annotate on and next page, choose the _Annotate TAB_

  • 5. Type your word/words in the text box, choose placement, font colors, point size etc. But DO NOT choose a font example in the choice box, instead scroll below it to the text slot that already has the http:// in it. ERASE the http:// and _paste, _cmd+V_ the ttf url you brought into the slot_ Scroll back up and click the grey annotate button, and you will see your graphic with your annotation on it.

  • That is all there is to using a ttf font. If you have more than one line of print to annotate, remember to use the _annotate TAB_ each time. You can also use a ttf font and one of the fonts that ImageMagick provides. Just use the ttf first, then erase the url and choose one of the Magick fonts to procede with the annotation.
