Plus Composite of Backgrounds

  • 1. take your image to ImageMagick, have your background url saved in the find key slot, or have it written down, memorized etc
  • 2. click the COMPOSITE TAB and enter the url of the background in the slot
  • 3. leave gravity and location numbers as they are, and leave Center alone, scroll down and choose
  • 4. _Plus_ in the drop down menu and scroll a bit farther and click the misc box and it will check-mark to tile the background across and down your whole image.
  • 5. scroll back up and click the grey composite button, and you will see your image with the single color background color.
  • 6. you can now OUT PUT and save, or do any other effects you choose, then out put, and that is all there is to it.

  • *** this process works best on black & white or greyed images, the easiest way to remove color from an image is to:
  • A. use _Enhance_ at Image Magick, and put the number _10_ in the parameter slot and choose _saturation_ button. this will make your image faded and greyed out, you can then use other effects to 'sharpen the image' but just using the Plus Comp with color will intensify it.
  • B. use _Colormap_ and unclick the _dither_ check the _grey_ check the _globalcolormap_ and check the _quantize_ I have never used this as I always use Saturation to grey my images, so I thank IceBlue for this information.
