Using our PageBuilder scrapbook, we can make our own animated and/or _Morphed_ images. I used the 2 images on the top, put them on an empty page builder page, in the order I wanted them to animate, and ended up with the animated banner. And this is how you do it:
- 1. create a NEW PAGE at your PageBuilder and name it _animations_ or something similar, so you know what it is for. Choose the _plain gray background_ because this is not seen by ImageMagick and will not be included in the animation.. it is seen as a blank slate so to speak. Create and publish the page, making sure it is empty.
- 2. For the animation to work properly, each 'frame' should be of the same size, I made my 2 examples 300x100 and annotated on each, then saved the first in scrapbook, made the second 'frame' and saved it in scrapbook. I will make a link to an incredible tool made by Rocki of Siggies Sigs at the end of the page which has a scrapbook uploader on it, put it on an fkey for ease of use.
- 3. I then went to page builder and put the 2 samples on the animation page, in the order I wanted them to animate. I published the page, and went to Image Magick.
- 4. At the _front door_ of ImageMagick I entered this in the url slot (I named my page _plain_)
http://community.webtv.net/WEECAT1/plain/
that is the part of the page's url that you use to animate the items on it. Once inside Magick, you will see the first image, and slowly the second image will begin to animate.
- 4_A- to only animate your images, now go to OUTPUT and checkmark the _gif_ in the menu and the _multi file_ red light button. Scroll down and put a _0_ zero in the _loop_ slot and... starting at _10_ which is very fast, and going upward (I used 50 for my example) put a number in the _delay_ slot, going up in increments of 5.. 10, 15, 20, 25 etc. Scroll back up and click the grey output button, next page will show you your animation, with the seperate 'frames' below it. Transload it as usual to your server.
- 4_B- to animate/morph which is what I did for the cat magick sample.. I chose the _FX_ TAB, erased the number in it and put a _2_ because that is how many frames I wanted imagemagick to add to the morph. I clicked the _morph_ button, then the FX button, next page I saw my sample morphing, and chose the Output TAB, chose _gif_ _multi file_ put a _0_ in the loop slot, and put _50_ in the delay, and outputted. The result is above.
- To do this at a server such as Dream Server or the Zone, create a new directory or sub directory but DO NOT MAKE AN INDEX.HTML page for it. As you make your graphics, add them one at a time in the order you want them to animate and name them, for example.. gif1.gif .. gif2.gif .. etc. The url that you put in at ImageMagick will be similar to the page builder url
http://www.wtv-zone.com/YourName/directory/
make sure you include the end / on the url. The rest of the process is the same.
Image Magick will only take, I think, either 3 or 5 'frames' of something you want to animate, and the kb will be quite large the more frames you add to an animation. You can also morph large pictures, the kb is very huge, but I will make an example to show you, the effect is quite spectacular. That is another lesson tho LOL
