White + Black = Plus

1. Take your image on white background to Magick. At Draw or Annotate use _BLACK_

2. At Composite, use _PLUS_ to fill your words/frame. Plus composite will only fill in the black on white.

How I Do It
Once I have my frame or words where I want them, I go to _Paint_ and using _white, reset, color_ I click and make the whole image white, then I re-draw or re-annotate my words using _black_ and composite my background in it using _PLUS_, I then add the stroke color, or edging color on the frame, and then _Multiply_ composite my original image on the filled image. Just remember, the image you are comping the top image on will show through where they touch.

Black + White = Multiply

For a black background, you will use _white_ to draw a frame or annotate the words, and _Multiply_ composite to fill the background in. Same steps as the white background, the differences are:

1. _Multiply_ composite the background

2. _Screen_ composite the original image if it is on a black background, also use screen if the original image will touch the filled image. Screen will show up lighter on the image, with the background image showing through.

I do the same Paint method so that the background will not go in the original image, only changing the color to _black, reset, color_
