There's a house with one blue light....
As he stood by the pole on the corner,
Of the street where decorations shined so bright,
He could see in between the array of red and green,
To the house with one blue light.
There's a house with one blue light tonight,
On a Christmas Eve so white;
And a man with regret, on his way to the steps,
Of the house with one blue light.
As he thought of what he'd done, he couldn't blame her,
And he knew that she might turn him from her sight;
But he knew in his mind what it was he'd have to find,
At the house with one blue light.
As he coughed he could hear people singing,
Unaware that he was out there in the night;
In his heart there was pain, and he knew he'd remain
At the house with one blue light.
There's a house with one blue light tonight,
On a Christmas Eve so white;
And he dropped his cigarette where he fell by the steps,
Of the house with one blue light.
There's a house with one blue light....
