The Lumberjack Song (Collected by MacEdward Leach) w/lyrics

Come all you hardy lumberjacks throughout old Newfoundland,
Come give me your attention, list' to a shanty man;
On the banks of old Red Indian Lake where the rapid waters flow,
Oh, we'll range those wild woods o'er as a-lumbering we'll go.

The music of our burnished axe will make the woods resound,
And many a tall and stately pine comes tumbling to the ground;
At night around our shanty fires we'll sing while rude winds blow,
Oh, we'll range the wild woods o'er as a-lumbering we'll go.
