Why are you so lonely,
When all you have to do,
Is get a little puppy,
Then happiness will come to you?

A friend like this you'll never have
When sitting all alone,
While you are rocking in your chair
And it a chewing on a bone.

Then as the years go rolling by,
Your friendship will increase.
A truer love you'll never find,
That love will never cease.

Neglect is not a problem,
He'll love you just the same.
Blame him for what he didn't do,
Still he'll answer to his name.

Now can't you really see our Maker,
In old shep that He created.
They give their love so freely,
And let us know that their elated.

It's said "dog is man's best friend,"
And that's without a doubt.
When God was naming this great friend,
He just turned His name about.
