My name is Clyde, but everyone calls me Clydie cause I'm a girl. My life may not be as interesting as my brother's, Lightening, but a cat's life is a great one. When I lived in New York, I was kept inside. My mom thought I knew nothing about watching for cars.
Then something strange happened. One day I was put into my carrying case and into my dad's truck. He drove for days and days. My brother had the run of the truck while I was stuck in this case. I was so jealous. Talk about fair.
Finally, we stopped and I found myself in the wide open country in a place called Montana. Boy did I love it there.

I love exploring, especially early in the morning. There's so much to investigate outside. No cars to worry about, just foxes. I like to go out and nibble on the grass, which usually makes me sick, but tastes good. My most favorite thing to do is check out the garage for mice. I don't kill them, but I sure love to play with them.
One night I spent hours chasing and playing with a mouse I found in the house. I don't know how it escaped me in the garage and got inside. I finally put it in my mouth and brought it to my mom who was in bed. I thought she'd be so happy, but she woke my dad and he took it from me and threw it outside. I guess you can never tell what PEOPLE will do.
My favorite place to sleep is all the way down under the blankets. Nobody knows I'm there and sometimes I get sat on. I let out a yell and they move though.

Both my mom and dad take great care of me. I always have food & water and a clean litter box. I get plenty of petting and I love them very much. I even tolerate my brother, Lightening.
Then one day I found myself back in my carrier and back in dad's truck. Oh no, not again. Again we drove for days and days. I couldn't believe where we ended up this time. Back in NEW YORK. I'll never understand humans.
Today, my brother Lightening is no longer here. He's crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and I miss him terribly.I have no dog to tease anymore. My life is alot quieter now. I find I sleep more. I guess that's because I'm now called a "Senior" cat. (I'm 19yrs young) Now my favorite place to sleep is on my mom's lap.

I no longer go outside but I still have fun chasing dust balls pretending they're mice and sitting on the window sill watching the birds.
I have a wonderful life being a member of this family where I am truly loved.
Signed: Clydie the cat

My brother, Lightening. We all miss you.
