©1999-2009 Barbara Conroy I
wrote this
poem in honor of the birth of my
grandson Jordan in
July, 1999. It is a letter to him and
his sister
Darien: I have since added my new grandson CJ to my letter.
Enjoy
life's little pleasures,a leaf, a bird,
a bug. Give
plenty of kisses and plenty of
hugs.
Help others
who pass you in this your dear
life. We
all need
some help in our troubles and
strife.
Remember to
thank God for all He has done. Remember
to care,
But remember to have FUN
!!
I Love You,
Grandma
I Wrote this RAP poem in honor of
Martin
Luther King's Birthday in 1990. Just add
a little rap music as you read
it..
I wrote this poem as a fairwell
letter to my friends and co-workers when
I left my daycare job in 1993 to move to
Pennsylvania.
Poem by Barbara Conroy September 11th, 2001 May we never suffer such a loss again...
A week before the day I was born.
What started as a lovely day,
Soon lead to fear and complete dismay.
At first we thought, what a horrific accident had occured.
Never thinking that it was war !
We watched in awe and disbelief,
This must be a movie about killers and thieves.
But when the dust had finally cleared,
The horror was everywhere as we all feared.
In New York, Washington and a PA. field.
Heros were made and lives were sealed.
We now see ourselves in a different light.
We stand stronger and united in our fight.
May God above in his heavenly grace,
Help us to build a better place.
A world of hope, a world of peace...
A world of love with all of the people we meet.
poem by Barbara Conroy Wrote this poem for a friend who's daughter was getting married
On this my daughter's Wedding Day.
I touched your head and remembered when;
You were oh so small, my new best friend.
But now the years have slipped on by.
You're getting married, I think I'll cry !
Please remember my child, my little girl.
You'll always be my perfect pearl.
Please come to me when you need a friend.
With this all my LOVE, I do send.....
I love you, MOM
Thanks for dropping
by.....
WHAT IS GOD ??
Welcome to my poetry corner, sit
down, relax and just enjoy yourself.
These are poems that I have written over
the years. They're simple poems written
in good
times and in bad times. But always with
my Heart.
Thanks for coming and do come back
often......
Here is a poem I
wrote in
1990, at the height of the AIDS crisis.
It is truly
a poem for thought...
This is a little poem I made up while
sitting in
the bathroom, I hope it moves you
!!
This poem is hanging on my bathroom
wall!

It happened on a September morn,

So many things I want to say...
