Lesson Index for those who are just joining in

These can be made in any size, but you will have to play with the numbers on the diagonal image to fit your square properly. If you want a smaller size, it's better to start small than to resize when done. The rotated image tends to get the jaggies when resized.

At IM, make a 300x300 white xc image. Add a transparent border of 10x10, and then white border of 15x15. Output as a gif & save.   Example 1

Make another white xc, size 260x260. Add a 3x3 transparent border, then a 5x5 white border.

Go to transform. Rotate 45. Otput as a gif & save Example 2

Choose an image, and if necessary, resize it to fit the diagonal. CCP the url into find box. Take the square white image to  PAIR IM . (Pair is the only IM that does comp IN, properly)

Composite the image into the white square using IN. Output as a gif & save. Example 3

Do the same with the diagonal. Output as a gif & save. Example 3

FInd a color from your image that you like, and make a note of it.

CCP the new diagonal into find bx. Grab the url for the new square. At IM add a transparent border of 25x25 to the square.

Composite the diagonal CENTER using OVER.

GO to PAINT function, and color in all the transparent areas with the color you chose.   Example 4

Trim, & resize if you want it smaller. Output as a jpg.

You can also use a background or paint a new color for the square and another color for the diagonal.

For this one, I used green for the square. Black for the diagonal and then comp'd a floral gif over. Example 5

These are just 2 examples of things you can do with this. Try your own thing. Add a background to the square and an image to the diagonal, make it all colors & add little images, or use 2 different images. Play and have FUN!
