Black Blank         Weave Backs

Take the black blank to IM, enter url, and then go to draw.

We'll draw the bottom part of the basket first.

Choose roundrectangle Fill color=white. No stroke color or size.

The first set of numbers measures the distance from the left side and the top of the left corner

70 from the left , 160 from the top

The 2nd set of numbers measures the distance from the left side (which determines the width of the rect.) and the top of the right corner (which determines the depth of the rectangle)

230 from left, 260 from upper right corner

The 3rd set of numbers decides the degree of curve for the corners

In this case, 15, 15

So, in the parameters box type:

70,160 230,260 15,15

You should now have a nice white rectangle near the bottom of your blank.

Go to Draw - & we'll draw the rim of the basket

Choose roundrectangle

Fill color=grey50.   Stroke color=#101010   Size=3.

In the parameters box type:

65,150 235,170 5,5

Go to transform and FLIP the image. For some reason I couldn't get an upward arc, so we have to do it this way.

Go to Draw - next, we'll draw the handle

Choose arc

No fill color Stroke color=white   Stroke size=10

1st set of numbers measures from the left side and the left top.

70 from left,145 from top

2nd set of numbers measures from the left side
(or width of arc) and the left top.

230 from left,145 from top

3rd set of numbers controls the inward curve of the arc and the height

81 inward curve, 90 height of curve

So, in the parameters box type:

70,145 230,145 81,90

Go to transform and flip the basket right side up.

Output and save the basket blank

To add the basket weave, CCP the url of the chosen weave into find box. Take the basket blank to IM. Composite the weave into the basket using multiply.

Example

NOTE - If you don't like any of the weave colors provided, the ltgrey would be suitable for comping into a colored background of your choice.

Decorate as you wish with bows, leaves, flowers or Christmas goodies.

A Christmas Example

Composited on a light background

Use floodfill, matte, fuzz 4444 to remove the black bg, then comp on color of your choice. It has the ratty edges around the handle, but you can hide them with a bow or other trimmings.
