I had wanted a dog for many years, a little one to set on my lap while she takes her little naps.

It was like having a new baby in the house again, having her little basket and dog toys strung all around.

She had to be paper trained, for she was a little thing just weighing a little over a pound and that was a true battle between doggie and me.

I never gave her a treat for being bad and missing her puppy pad. But she got praised when she did, and was rewarded with a treat, when my expectations she did surely meet :-)

One day I was washing dishes, and she looked up at me with those puppy dog eyes filled with such love, and I knew she was a Blessing from by My Father above.

So I opened up the cabinet and gave her a undeserved treat . She jumped around with glee, I know she was wondering what had gotten into me.

Then the Lord spoke to my heart and said that is how it is with Me, I know you have not done everything right and sometimes make a mess. I pour out My Blessing from time to time just because you are mine.

My Heart filled with Gratitude as I whispered a Prayer, Thanking Him for all His Blessing and His Tender Loving Care!

Buttons is a big girl now, four years old and weighs a whopping five pounds and if I may say so trained very well. She is a Blessing as I look at her all curled up on my lap, a little bundle of cute fur, taking her nap.

And I am reminded of the day of her undeserved treat and how the Lord spoke to my heart that day about my undeserved Blessings He gives along the way!
