People say I can forgive but can't forget what they have done to me. That is a grudge. We have to totally forgive and forget to free ourselves from satan's hold of bitterness within our hearts.

I learned this lesson early as a Christian. We all bring baggage of hurts and unforgiveness from our past into Our new walk with the Lord. We have to learn how to unpack our bags and fill them with new thoughts and Promises from God's word.

This is not easy when things are deeply rooted within our hearts and minds. That is why the word said that we would receive a new heart when we became Christians. That old things are past away and all things become new.

But it is up to us to unpack our bags and let go of the things of the past, so we can start on our Spiritual Journey free, so Love, Peace and Joy can rule within Our Hearts.

Some Christians even after years of being born again have still not unpacked their bags and live a stifled Christian life because they cannot let go and let God free them form their hurts and pains.

I wanted all that the Lord had to offer and I had to learn to unpack my bags so I could travel on the Highways of God plans for My life.

I couldn't unpack My bags by myself, I had to rely upon the helper that Jesus had promised that He would send, to help me all along My way! The Precious Holy Spirit gave Me strength to not only forgive, but keep pushing the memories of past hurts out of my mind until they were nothing but a fleeting thought!

The hold they had once had upon My heart was broken and I was free to become the New Me in the Lord! Jesus was the best example in the world. He saw my sins, forgave me and said He would remember then no more.

It was up to me to follow in His Steps as well, and acknowledge my sinful grudges, release unconditional forgiveness, and never bring them up to remembrance any more.

A thought of something is not a grudge, it is when we ponder and rehash over the past wrongs that have been done to us, allowing the past to seep back into Our hearts to weigh us down once again.

Forgiveness is the most powerful tool in a Christians hand, it was berthed in Love and was hung upon an old rugged cross for all the sins of the world. Love and Forgiveness are bound together! Through the Love of Jesus we received forgiveness for our sins.

My life changed after I unpacked my bags and filled them with forgiveness all along My way! Oh I have had my times of cleaning out My Spiritual Closet along My way, as new things have crept inside, but all I had to do is just forgive and forget once more!

Our Hearts will keep us in check as we allow the Lord to rule and reign upon it's throne. May the Power of Forgiveness flow from Your hearts today and free You on Your Journey all along Your way!
