Being a Mom

Being a Mom

This is one of My most Blessed lessons, it has helped me do the right thing, while raising my three Girls. As a Christian Mom I wanted to raise My Girls in Love and teach them along My way!

There is no way I could have ever raised them without the Lord being my guide! As You well know that being a Mom is one of the most taxing jobs a woman can have in her lifetime.

I was determined to allow the Lord to take control of every situation that would arise. I Prase Him for guarding My tongue and giving me a gentle spirit when I felt like a raging lion.

There were plenty of time that I stomped down that hallway and was going to give them what for! I would be praying all the way, for His word to be said and not mine.

I would fling open the door to settle the dispute once and for all. As I would open my mouth, the Lord would take control, and say some pretty amazing things, even to my surprise.

I would walk back down the hall and Praise Him for taking control of the situation for me, for if it had been up to me they would have had a sore bottom for the rest of the night.

It always amazed me the words that He would give me to settle a squabble, or straighten up their attitude. His words of Love and care would roll off my tongue like silk, to the delight of my heart.

I knew it was the Lord, for those words were not what I had in mind of saying at all :-) But He knows the best way to handle everything that comes our way as a Mom!

I am not saying that I am perfect by no means, I am the opposite, that is why I needed Him to do the talking for me, so I could be an example to My Girls and keep the strife out of the house.

The teenage years were the hardest and I have to admit it, I lost it a few times, and did it my way, and regretted not giving control over to Him!

But as a general rule, I Prayed and ask Him to let My words be what was best, as I disciplined My Girls! I knew I wasn't going to be Perfect, but I did want to be a the best that I humanly could be as a Mom!

My Three Girls are grown now and have families of their own, they are My Best Friends! I have that Blessing, because of the Lord, for He helped me build good strong relationships with them over the years!

I not only applied this lesson as being a Moms raising My Girls, but applied it in my life in general. We can use this same principal in any situation, as we need help when conflict comes our way!

A gentle word can turn away wrath, and you can draw more flies with honey than with vinegar. So our words that are led of the Lord, can bring peace to a rather difficult situation!

May we all practice this little lesson and allow the Lord to have control of our hearts and our mouths along our way!

Big Jesus Hugs..........Paula
