White Blank Using Sheri's Line Tute and Jane's Shadow Tute I adapted the info to create the blinds at the top of the page. Here's how! Use the white blank - these instructions are for a 300 x 300 image, so resize to those dimensions. Reset color=#fefefe Go to DRAW Choose LINE Fill color and stroke color = grey25 Stroke width= 3 The first set of coordinates are: 0,20 300,20 Continue drawing, changing the coordinates by 20 for each new line. 0,40 300,40 0,60 300,60 Until you reach the last one: 0,280 300,280 Output and save. It should look like this: Blinds 1 Return to IM with your first blind. Go to EFFECTS Choose blur 7x7 Note: After experimentation, I changed the width to 7 to give the vanes more depth. Output and save - ( just in case IM times out ) Blinds 2 Return to IM with your blurred image. Go to DRAW Choose LINE Fill color and stroke color = grey25 Stroke width= 1 <-- note change! Because a blur of 7x7 gives us a 7x7 wide line, & we are changing the sroke width, we need to change the location of this NEW first line to accomodate the new location of the bottom of the line. So, the first set of coordinates are: 0,23 300,23 Continue drawing, changing the coordinates by 20 for each new line. 0,43 300,43 0,63 300,63 0,83 300,83 And so on until you reach 0,283 300,283 This should be your results. Blinds 3 It's a lot of work - But the good news is you only have to do it ONE TIME. Save your blank, and then use the color=reset function to color it any color you like. Then go to COMPOSITE and comp the blank, @ BUMPMAP x 2. Final Results - Blinds An example of a finished image with a frame, some annotations & a plasma bg. Decorated Window Make them VERTICLE! Example Make your plasma or gradient the same size as the blinds. Composite the blinds bumpmap, using these parameters: -60+0 CENTER Rotate 90 NOTE - start at -60 and if you want them moved to the left more, increase the number accordingly. ie -70 -75, till you have them where ya want them TIP - for the frame. After the blinds are composited - flip and flop the image. Do not use a border. Frame it wide - 30x30+10+10. The +10+10 acts like cellspacing on a table. Gives it that indented look. Then flip and flop it back to it's original position. That puts the darker part of the frame on the right side. Annotate your dings THEN - crop off 20 from the left and 20 from the top! |
