Quick & Easy - Using A Jpg to Fill and Frame Another Version Choose an image you want to frame, and resize it if necessary. For this first part, It only needs to be as large as, or larger than, the frame, (400x400) so don't worry about sizing down, unless you really want it smaller. Grab a couple of colors from it at your fav color grabber. Then, go here and copy down the co-ordinates for the frame you want to use. Draw Co-ords Make a black 400x400 xc, and then draw your frame. Use white for the color & a stroke of 2 or more. Note _if_ you use a transparent blank, you will have the jaggies! Paint the areas that you want filled with the image, using floodfill, color=white. Use a fuzz of 10,000 or higher. Start at 10,000 & adjust from there. Comp the image using muliply. Repeat the draw using a color from your image for the stroke. Now, we need to figure out the size for the center image. People shy away from using this kind of frame for jpgs, because of the size thing. But, it's not hard to figure it out. Ok - you're on the view page. Point and click the arrow in the upper left corner of the BLACK area, inside the frame. Move it right and down a bit so there will be a small black mat around the image. Check my stream ex for a visual. Move the pointer untill you have about the size mat you want around your image. Steam Below your image, check the 1st two numbers - something like +82+57. Write it down. Next, point and click in the lower right area of the BLACK inside the frame. You will get something like this - +306+322. Write down those numbers. Now subtract the smaller numbers from the larger numbers and that's the size you want to make your center image. So - the above numbers are the numbers I used for my image. I subtracted 82 from 306 for a width of 224. I subtracted 57 from 322 for a height of 265. I resized the image to 224x265. Once you have your numbers, output the frame and save. NOTE - you can paint the inside area of the frame if you want a different bgcolor for the mat. Use floodfill, & try a fuzz of 10,000 to start. Adjust up or down as needed. Take your (center) image to IM and resize it according to your numbers and save it. Take the frame and the image back to IM, and it's just a simple comp over @ center. For the one at the top of the page, I used this mask on the image first, to get rid of the hard corners, then resized to fit. That's it! - Output as a jpg and save. Have FUN!
