I am playing with several, but comp "copy opacity" is what I am playing with and loving it!!! Hint, take a jpg to IM and carry a png or gif with you and use that to use the new comps and see what you get. I have good luck with 3 or 4 of them. Back to 'copy opacity"! I took the hat lady to IM and also took the blue wizard png that Choco posted and comped the png to the hat lady using "copy opacity". I trimmed it and output is as a png and got this result . I wanted to see what would happen to it when I composited it over a blank from Lady Timeless and got this result . Just wanted to see if the different transparent backs would blend and they did!!! This is just way too cool for words!! Now back to the other 3 or 4 comps I was playing with :-). Aurora Editor's Note - I ran a couple images through IM using Aurora's instructions / technique, so I could better understand the results, and write this up for her. The technique is her's. Here's what I found out. The jpg takes on the size, shape and all of the transparency of the png that is composited. Once you try one, you'll see what we mean. Positioning will depend on what part of the jpg you want transparent, & trimming is a necessity. Note - trim as you would any other image. Using this Original Png And this Original Jpg Comp'd png over, SOUTH (to include the figures at the bottom). Trimmed & this is the RESULT If you compare this one to Aurora's first result, you'll see that it's the same shape. Using this Original , resized to fit.
