Koya Image Magic

A variation on the motion blur - roll frame, using spread only. This one works best with pngs or transparent gifs.

Basic steps:

Composite gif or png over a bg color of your choice. Make the bg slightly smaller than the image for maximum spread coverage.

Spread - Choose from 50 - 110. Depends on the image and how much color it has. You can also try adding a small border in the same color as the bg, before you do the roll. It would look something like  this .

Next - ROLL: Any numbers will do - all give a different size. Choose the one you like best. I'm using 100 as the example.

+100+100. You can also use -100-100, or a combination of +100-100. Try them all.

Then resize - depends on how much border you want showing around the original image.

Draw - Rectangle in the center using a FILL color_only_. Transparent rgba colors. I use black for the example at the top. rgba(0,0,0,.50) for the center, then rgba(0,0,0,.30) to cover the whole thing. The parameters to cover the whole image are the same as for the MB.
-1-1 +??+?? (1 pixel more than width or height)

Composite original - comp choice depends on the image and end result you want. Most likely, OVER will work best, especially for gifs and pngs.

NOTE - it's very difficult to see the result of the transparent draw on the view page at IM. For some reason the transparent colors, at least for black, hides the colors beneath. So, you may need to output and have a look, then back up and adjust from there.
