Make Your Own Plaid NOTE to lurkers & snaggers - You are welcome to do the project, but DO NOT snag the images from this tute and post them in any other group. Koya Image Magic Marianne's Colors ~ Quick and easy ~ These plaid bgs can be made in any color(s), and depending on how you do the border, no 2 will be alike. Choose at least 3 colors from the color chart above, or from one of your own favorite charts. I'm going to give you the basics of my plaids,  then you can choose your own colors and border sizes. At IM, make a 20 x 200 xc, color white. (Yep - that is 20 x 200) You can vary the width on this,  but use 200 for the height. DECORATE: 10 x 0 - border - color= #dd9988 20 x 0 - border - color #998877 15 x 0 - border - color #aa6655 CROP +45+0 (45 is the total of the above 3 (10,20,15) numbers) Output & CCP the url, then scroll up & click the VIEW tab. PAINT - color,  reset,  white. RESIZE to 200 x 200! Comp the CCP'd url - OVER. Check the tile across bx. TRANSFORM - Rotate right or left. Comp again, MULTIPLY.  check the tile across bx. ENHANCE = Gamma 2.6 ( you can go higher or lower on this, depending what you want.) This is the result.   01  I used it for the body bg on this page, and for the bg of the doll tag. Colors & border sizes for this one:   04  Made a 15 x 200 linen xc 15 x 0 - color - #117766 5 x 0 - color - linen 20 x 0 - color - #66ccaa 25 x 0 - color - linen 15 x 0 - color #aa9955 Cropped +80+0, out and save. Color reset white, resize to 200 x 200. Comp'd over, rotated, comp multi. Gamma 5.3, out and save. I then resized it to 350 x 350, and comp'd the above url mulitply.
