How To Make a Page at the Zone

At the top of the file manager, click on NEW FILE. You will get a pop up that asks for a file name. Name it whatever you like, but it must end in .html. Like this: sig1.html.

Then click OK. You will be taken to a blank page - it _will have this code already for you:

<<>!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2 Transitional//EN">
<<>HTML>
<<>HEAD><<>TITLE><<>/TITLE><<>/HEAD>
<<>BODY BGCOLOR="#ffffff" TEXT="#000000" LINK="#0000FF" VLINK="#800000" ALINK="#FF00FF">

For a sig, you don't need all that, so just erase all of it and start with <<>html>.

Making a sig on a web page is exactly the same as coding a sig in the sigbox. You start with <<>html> and end with <<>/html>

If you want your link and vlink colors to work in email or posts, write the code on the _page, _not in the sig box. It has never worked in the sig box. And <<>alink doesn't work for webbys, so just erase it.

Write your code on the page like this:

<<>body bgcolor="#ffffff" text="#000000" link="#0000ff" vlink="#800000">

NOTE - If you are NOT using a side bar code, the <<>img src= is still the way to code for images. If using a side bar you must use <<>embed src= for images.

Put all the things you want in a particular sig, including images, music and jumpboxes, then scroll to the bottom and click on SAVE & CONTINUE.

After it has been saved, you can view the page and see if it suits you. You will see this at the top of the edit page:

Modify zone.html as needed:

In this case it's for the page I'm working on, so it's zone.html.

You can click on that link and look at your page. If it's ok, just use goto, show current, and CCP that url. Put it in the embed code in your sig box.

If you need to make corrections, scroll down to the editing page, fix what ya want and then click SAVE & CONTINUE, again.

Repeat this as often as you need to - just remember to save after each edit.
