You can make these any size you want, but for demonstration purposes, I started with a 200 x 220 xc, color=none. Paint it white.
Add a border 35x35 - color=none Add a border 35x35 - color=white Go to transform. Choose ROLL Parameters will equal 1/2 of width and 1/2 of height of your image. Mine is 340 x 360, so the parameters for the roll are + 170 +180. Example 1 Go to effects, choose gaussian blur, 20 x 20. Example 2 Output as a gif and save. Or, If you'd like, do spread at 10x10 - but no blur. Example 3 Or do both blur ( 20x20) and spread (10x10) Example 4 You can do roll at any parameters. The above info was for a perfectly centered roll. This example is 200x220 xc, border 25x25, color=none, border 25x25, color=white. Roll +100 +160 Example 5 Same image, but Roll -100 -160 Example 6 Same image, but Roll -100 -100, then roll +50 +50 Example 7 You can paint it or comp the blurred image onto a colored back using bumpmap, luminize, or over. Just depends on the look you want. Now add any gifs, jpgs or dings you like to finish the image. For the example at the top of page, I painted some of the squares 1st, then blurred @ 20x20, & comp'd it OVER a white background. I cropped this rose from a larger photo. Comp'd it in the upper left corner using ATOP. Then added some dekor dings, annotated name and finished it with a little rose gif. If you use point and click you can get the size of the square. Point in the upper right corner of the square = 150, then point in the lower right =169. So you need an image of 150x169, but it's a good idea to make it just sllghtly larger. Some other examples of how to finish: You can find a lot of pretty images to work with, here Please do not reproduce this tutorial in any way. ©May 2, 2005 ~~ Club Chocolataa |
