Kaleidescope Frames

This is a continuation of the  "Cloned Frames"  project. I recommend you read it first.

Using this blank from the clone lesson,  Frame 1 , return to  Gifworks

Enter your image url, choose clone, (in the effects dropdown) and type 40 in the text bx.

Next, choose kaleidescope, and click the 8 facets button.

You can finish it in a lot of different of ways. Paint it, use a background fill or another image.

I painted the center and the outside area white, resized it to fit an image & composited the image using IN. This is the  result .

Since it's a gif, you can comp it over any color background, and output as a jpg to save on file size.  Example .

Using this  Frame 2 , repeat the above clone and kaleidescope steps.

FInish any way you'd like. Here are a couple of examples.

Comp'd a background using IN, then the flowers using over.  Floral . Same thing for the example at the top of the page.

For this one, I colored the 2 areas in shades of sienna, then comp'd the lady using multiply.  Lady .

One last frame - this time a curvy gradcolor effect. Use this frame. Take it to IM and paint it any color you'd like. Output as a gif. Important - Paint _before going to gifworks.

Go to Gifworks. Clone at 40 pixels, then kaleidescope, but this time use 4 facets. Then choose cylinder, also in the effects dropdown. Save as a gif and decorate as desired.

I did mine in pink and then comp'd the fairy using over. Results

Have fun!
