Redux Arbor This is a version of the filled name but on a grand scale. You can do this with any thick type font, and you may need to search for just the right one, depending on your name. I chose a font that should work for most. Choose an image you like - should be something big & bold. This is the image I used. You should stop by a color grabber and choose a color for your font stroke. Grab this font - Fantasti ttf . At IM make a 400 x 400 XC, meta = none. Annotate the first letter of your name using these co-ordinates: South +0 -50 (negative 50) FIll color=black - No stroke Point size = 400 Scale 1.2,1.2 (adjust this if it's too big for the page, depending on your initial) Composite the image ATOP. You can move it around till you have the letter filled in just so. Remember, using NorthWest, + (plus) co-ords move the image right and down, - (negative) co-ords move the image left and up. Once you have the image positioned where you want it, output as a gif, and CCP the temp url. Do NOT trim. Click the view tab at top of the page. Scroll to paint function and choose reset, color, and what ever color bg you want. Point & then click arrow in the center of image. Composite the temp url over, center. Back to annotate. Erase the fill color and use stroke= 2, any color you want from your image. Everything else stays the SAME. Trim and resize to approximately 320x? Add a border of approx. 140x0 in the same color as your bg. Annotate the rest of your name in desired font. Make it big, so it looks right with the initial. I used a script font, pt 170, scale 1.0,1.5. I annotated 3 times with different colors of blue from the image, moving it over and down by 2 each time. When you're all done, trim and resize again if needed. Out and save as a jpg. Here's one for halloween Both fonts used came from MsM Font Collection . You can view the whole charset by using Siggiez Font Viewer, located on her page. ©September 24, 2006 Gnubee & Choco Do not reproduce or duplicate this tute.
