Redux Image Magic

Quick and Easy!

This is an addition to the knowledge base for this new fun feature at IM.

I think "busy" & bright colored images will work best with this. When you do the displace composite, it drags the shapes into the color. If you look at the night ex., you'll see the shape is very subtle. But the exotic & shams really stand out.

The basics for this "look" are simple, and creates a very cool mask type image that can be used in many ways

Enter the url of your "base" or original image at IM.

Paint it using RESET, COLOR, color = whatever color you want the center of the oval to be.

Go to F/X - Choose VIGNETTE

Make your background color for the borders, any color you'd like.

Parameters = 0x20 +70+70

Note - you can use anywhere from +50+50 on up. Depends on the image and how much of the details you want to capture. Using less than +50+50 may result in a squared off bottom, & right side, & end up looking like this

Once you have your vignette to your liking,  go to composite.

Comp the orginal CENTER, using DISPLACE.

Output as a jpg and save.

Decorate with gifs or dingbats, frame, or comp another image using multiply.

For this kind of image, one with white space or other border around it, it helps if you add an additional border of 25x25 in the same color. Output and save. Then proceed with the tute using that image.

Have fun!
