Redux IM Arbor IM Every year I go on this "egg hunt" for the perfectly shaped Easter egg. Ovals make nice eggs, but they aren't really egg shaped. This year, I got IT! Yea! I made the blank in PSP, using vectors and nodes. I even found a way to make a highlite that you can use at IM. I hope you like it and can make many pretty Easter eggs from it. We're gonna make the one at the top of the page. I think they are called panoramic eggs. Egg Png Note - this looks a little raggy, but after you composite your background, go to effects and use median filter 1x1 - 3x3 to smooth out the edges. Also, if you use this one, you will have to use IN for your composite. That will cover up the shading that gives it the depth. Here are some bunnys (courtesy of Sherry's NG - TY!) & a couple flowers, and crosses. Special thanks to Sheri, for sharing many of the crosses. Or choose an image of your own. Images Moon has some great small flowers that are perfect for accents. Egg Jpg This is the one we will be using for the panoramic eggs. So, CCP the url and head for IM. Make a gradient bg 236 x 329, in the colors of your choice. Not too light at the top, or the highlites won't show up real well. For the bunny, I used honeydew-darkcyan. The cross - plum-darkcyan. When you have a gradient you like, go to composite, and comp the egg blank using MULTIPLY. Go to DRAW. Choose ELLIPSE from the dropdown box. Make your Fill color one that will look nice with the image you've chosen for the center. I used lightcyan Stroke color = darkcyan -- size = 2 Co-ordinates: +118+190 +70+95 +0+360 Back to composite and comp the image you chose, Center +?+? -- Play with the co-ordinates till it looks right. If you want a dropshadow, use DSTOUT for the first comp. Paint the cutout area using floodfill, color, fuzz 9999, color = #707070 Then comp the image again using OVER. Change co-ordinates by 2 for each. Ie, if first comp was +10+15, second comp will be +12+17. Output and save as a jpg. Grab the url to one of the highlites - I used this one for both of mine. Paste it in your find bx, and then CCP the url for your egg. Composite the highlite Northwest +20+20 OVER. Add a border at the top and bottom for your name or greeting. output and save. Then annotate in choice of font and colors. Trim, output and you're done! Have fun! İMarch 23, 2006 Club Choco Tutes |
