This is Your First Homework Assignment

     We are going to make this image.

     CCP this ttf file

     View the charset, & you will see letter A is a beautiful hibiscus.

     Grab this blank and go to the IM of choice.

     Enter the url of the blank, click view, and go to ANNOTATE.

     Scroll down past IM's font box, and paste the ttf url into the text bx provided. Make sure you erase the http:// that's already there.

     Type the letter A - upper case in the text box at the top.

     Fill in the following information in the appropriate boxes:

     Offset = +0+0    Gravity = Center

     Point size = 100

     Fill color = #773377 (No stroke color or size)

     Click the annotate button. Next page you will see your flower.

     Go to annotate again, & change just the following:

     Offset = +3+3    Gravity = Center

     Fill color = #A763A7 (No stroke color or size)

     Click the annotate button. Next page you will see that your flower has acquired some depth.

     Now let's do the 2nd flower.

     Go to annotate again, & change just the following:

     Offset = +40+50    Gravity = Center

     Point size = 85

     Fill color = #FFEEBB (No stroke color or size)

     Scroll down to below the IM font bx, and look to the right. See the box that says ROTATE? Type 40 in there. That will rotate the dingbat 40 degrees to the right.

     Click the annotate button. Next page you should see your 2nd flower.

     One last time - go to annotate, and change just the following:

     Offset = +43+53    Gravity = Center

     Fill color = #CFBE9B (No stroke color or size)

     Annotate your name, trim it, and output as a jpg.

     Now you should have an image that looks like this:

      THIS IS YOUR 2nd HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT:

      After you have completed this practice image, choose a dingbat that you like and make one of our own design. Be sure to check page 4 for some tips and examples on other things that can be done with dings.

      I hope that you will have much fun learning to use and create with dingbats.
