BANNING
In Private clubs there is no need to Ban anyone, all you have to do is remove the person's name from the Access list and they will no longer be able to post in the group.
In a Public club you will need to place the person's name in the "Add Users to Access List". It is called that because it is the same form that the Private club owners use, but in the Public clubs it is the list for Banning people.
For an @webtv user it is best to Copy&Paste the name, including the @ from one of their posts. Once placed in the box, then delete the @ sign.
For an @msn, @hotmail, or @rogers-interactive you will have to include the domain name, as without it the system will assume the name belongs to an @webtv user.
You will have your choice of banning the person by one nick, or by all the users on their webtv terminal. You, as the club owner, NEVER see their other nicknames. When you check the "by box" box all you know is that you are banning every other user name the person might have now and in the future.
To UN-ban someone, use the "Remove Users From Access List".

DELETING
Deleting an article is the same in both Public and Private club groups.
C&P the post number (or write it down if you are going to be deleting more than one article) and go to the Owner Options page (linked above).
HIt on "Delete Unwanted Articles" and place the post numbers in the boxes. Do not include the parenthesis.
The postings should be deleted within the next 20 minutes, as the newsreader continually updates the groups. You may see the title of the post for a little while longer, but if you hit on it it should say something like "this posting is no longer available". It will disappear from the group shortly after that.

Enjoy your peaceful newsgroup,
